I'm fearing that this could be the result as well. What you have to realise however is that for Kendrick fans, they view him the same way that we do as Gaga fans. Like Gaga, he's also been up for AOTY multiple times but never won and his fans think he's been robbed every time and think he's long overdue a win. Both fanbases are in the same boat, only difference is, Gaga's been nominated 4 times previously (should've been 5 but ASIB wasn't nominated for some infuriating reason) and he's got 5. So there's no point trying to tell the other side that your fave deserves it more because xyz. Because both sides would give you the exact same reasoning.

I actually agreed with the rest of your post but I have to correct you on this bit. Kendrick just wrapped up a world stadium tour with SZA which pulled in an audience of 1.7 million and $358.7 million in revenue. Mayhem might just beat it if Gaga's lucky. And Bad Bunny is currently on his stadium tour with just under 700k tickets sold and $107 million from the first 12 dates alone. I don't know how they're generating this level of interest either when it seems like their work is only big in the US, but we clearly don't know everything.
