yeah the GOP is just letting him say $hit. obviously it has huge implications but the reality is this is just bs from a very sick and used man

The EU, and any other US ally for that matter, should feel HIGHLY incentivized to move away from the dollar and trade with the US.
 

The world can see how:

1) The GOP in Congress falls in line and generally continues to support Trump regardless of grumblings from outlier republicans.

2) The conservative Supreme Court drags their feet on tariffs. And they are effectively on board with Trump’s policies broadly. 

3) Democrats are failing as an opposition party and provide no real checks on Trump’s power. It’s almost as if they revel in their minority status so they can get away with doing the bare minimum. Looking at Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries. 

4) There’s no indication that the electorate is going to move the needle enough to check his ass and impeach him. Enough Americans are stupid enough to not vote in the midterms. 
 

Every facet of our government and civil society is complicit in what is currently happening. It is structural rot that will not go away.
