Canada & China are literally the only 2 Countries that fought back kinda hard with retaliation when Trump first started the Tarrif nonsense

 

Ultimately Canada had to take a softer approach afterwards as other Countries did not cordinate or help, they just folded, and a $2.5T economy is not enough to take on the US alone. 

 

Even Mexico kind of didnt retaliate all that much at all. If EU and Mexico fought back too suddenly the US would feel more pressure.
