Gaga was 100% responsible for Do What U Want, song lyrics and music video concept. That’s why she explained herself and apologized. She was not forced into making that song, she knew why she was doing it and even said great things about R. Kelly.

I never said she wasn't responsible for it. She was a clown for everything tied to that song, and was a clown to avoiding to address it for so long,  but he was also the producer of the track, he takes in part of the blame even if he's never apologized for it...

Anyways, that has absolutely nothing to do with this thread so not going to continue to derail it.

Gaga played him demos when he visited her on the Joanne tour and he told her it didn't sound like she was being herself, which I think made her cry, but she ultimately agreed. The songs she played were along the lines of "The Cure". The only Chromatica song that existed at this point was "Stupid Love", which was originally written for A Star Is Born.

And she thought the final album was more like herself? If she wasn't in a good place mentally, not even wanting to make music (she sounded way more excited b4 bloodpop stepped 100% in tbh) why do people were pushing her to make music the way they wanted it? Its selfish of him ngl

You’re projecting. She was still very much involved in the development of the album, just not from a production standpoint. She’s repeatedly credited BloodPop for trying to pull her out of her funk and making her want to dance again. Just because you don’t like how the album turned out doesn’t discount her own experience while creating it. And while it was dark for her, she clearly has a lot of love for it still based on her recent comments about it and saying it’s an album she’s proud of even if it’s not her best.

Is there any actual proof that Bloodpop is a bad person besides from "I didn't like the albums he was apart of". I'm so tired of this narrative when there's no evidence. The only thing Bloodpop forced Gaga to do was get in the studio to make a comeback dance record. If that's the worst thing that he's done then call me crazy too because that’s literally nothing. :Cautious:

I will protect Chromatica with everything I have. It’s one of my absolute favorite Gaga albums. 2015-2020 was clearly a very dark time for her, and the album’s lyrics show that in a beautiful way. That was a very dark time in my life as well, and by the time the album was released, life for me, and seemingly Gaga, felt brighter. I thank Bloodpop for not only allegedly inspiring Gaga, but helping create an album that I really love. I genuinely do not know why the fans hate him. The irony of giving so much grace to Gaga for working with R Kelly in a thread where we’re implying Bloodpop is a terrible person with no evidence…

And if it is because of something DJWS said, he has been extremely messy over the years as it pertains to ARTPOP, Gaga, the fans, and ACT II.. Bloodpop did his thing, celebrated its release, and moved on.

I mean, is this anything to do with DoC and the fact he basically used her name without any of her involvement to basically promote himself and his friends? Lol

To finally release a remix album that included a track the fanbase harassed her entire team over for months on end?

Hmm, so many false narratives these days. You really need to be fully certain and unbiased when it comes to these type of issues.

As long as he hasn't been malicious towards another individual then we are good.

For example: Bloodpop not being a fan of "producer" etc etc is HIS opinion and that's all there is to it.

Hm, I didn't know that... I guess it explains why the song is soulless.

PG.

I saw her outside the venue. For all I know, she might’ve not gotten inside. The poor thing.

I need you to be so forreal right now and realise this fanbase would have tore her alive if LG6 turned out to be Joanne 2

him "forcing" her to make a dance record is why we're actually back on track to her loving pop music again, sometimes you actually need a friend to force you to do difficult things to get you through to the other side

mother, what must i do?

Well she agreed, so. And it has more to do with her own distance from music and personal problems she was facing at the time than BloodPop’s abilities as a producer.
