Morphine Prince 109,654
WASHINGTON, Jan 14 (Reuters) - The Trump administration is suspending all visa processing for applicants from 75 countries, a State Department spokesperson said on Wednesday. The spokesperson did not elaborate on the plan, first reported by Fox News, which cited a State Department memo. The pause will begin on January 21, Fox News said. Somalia, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Brazil, Nigeria, Thailand are among the affected countries, according to the report. The memo directs U.S. embassies to refuse visas under existing law while the department reassesses its procedures. No time frame was provided. The reported pause comes amid the sweeping immigration crackdown pursued by Republican U.S. President Donald Trump since taking office last January. In November, Trump had vowed to "permanently pause" migration from all "Third World Countries" following a shooting near the White House by an Afghan national that killed a National Guard member. LadyLuca 2,611
What does that mean ? You don’t get visa? U only need it if u wanna stay more than 90 days right ? everyone who wants to spend less than that in the us is fine right ? Germany for example just needs ESTA I think… (if u wanna stay for less than 90 days) It’s so sad that he does such things Edited January 14 by LadyLuca

This includes canceled appointments at USCIS for benefit applications (green cards, removal of conditions, naturalizations) Although, the pause is not expected to directly affect processing of tourist visas or the visas for those coming to the United States to attend sporting events, chiefly the World Cup, later this year. That said, individuals could still face difficulties if their countries are subject to other Trump travel bans and restrictions. Watch the tourism market crash even more Id guess these are Countries generally with weaker ties so... the percentage of tourism from them may be a lot more modest than the number 75 Nations might suggest But even so, im sure it adds up to a meaningful number to have some impact
RaveMonster 613
I’m surprised seeing Brazil here. What did they even do lol. It’s funny they are doing this to countries like Brazil and Thailand while those countries are plagued with their tourists doing illegal **** all the time

27monster27 15,850
There is a substantial number of Russian and Brazilian tourists in the US regularly. I know this because I work at a bit of a tourist hot spot and I get a lot of them. This administration is evil. he/him/his
