Objectively, LG’s chorus has no melody at all, but it doesn’t try to, it doesn’t have these strong ambitious synths that GOE has. But what makes the biggest difference between the two is the bridges. GOE barely has one. (Back to that topic lmao, I was actually thinking of GOE when I wrote those comments). Applause also misses an actual bridge BUT the instrumentation actually changes with the piano (same for Disease) and it makes up for it.
