As they should. While they’re at it, they should do to us what they did to Maduro and take out our leaders and make us bend our knees. Enough is enough, and at this point, even more people will die here and abroad due to D.C.’s belligerence.

Denmark represents 1% of Europe's population, and if it fights, it will fight alone - and the fight will be short-lived. Some countries may send weapons, but not aircraft and ground troops.

Furthermore, Wadepul is wrong, because while Denmark can attempt to activate the mutual defense clause, it will not be invoked because it requires unanimity within NATO, and the US, as a NATO member, will vote against it. NATO does not provide COLLECTIVE assistance in conflicts between NATO members because ALL members must agree.

I wish the indigenous population of Greenland the best, especially after the indigenous women were forcibly sterilized by the Danish government in the 20th century, preventing them from having children, and now they are soon to be exploited and corrupted by US-Americans, which is immoral, too.  :bradley: A tragic fate has befallen this people.

Yes can Countries please start standing up to America (more specifically Trump and his Administration)?

Yes America is very Powerful but its not more powerful than the rest of the West Combined and developed world. If leaders stop cowering and stand together America doesnt stand a chance to follow thru on any of these rediculous 18th century style threats

Also even on trade nonsense. If EU, Canada, Britain and Oceana + Japan cordinated and coperated, they could all cripple the US and get the US to stand down but instead everyone freaked out and said yes mr Trump :rip:

Once Greenland will be part of USA, Canada will be surrounded by three sides by the US: from south, Alaska and Greenland. This will put pressure on Canada.

Every country should be free to choose its allies. We don't know what the future holds, but in 70 years, Russia and China might be "different," and the US "even stricter." Then it would be important for Canada to maintain free trade with Russia and China via the Northern Passage. But if Greenland is under US control, the US could impose a de facto blockade on Canada, just as it did on Cuba. Then Canada would no longer be able to export freely overseas and the US could limit what is allowed and what not. In an emergency, Canada should also have to have the option of purchasing weapons from Europe, Russia and China to protect itself from the US. But it won't if Greenland, Alaska and the south are there to control it.  Then Canada will always be blackmailed by USA.

If Greenland becomes US-American, Canada will unfortunately also lose a degree of sovereignty.

This is a very big if scenario tho and i still dont see it as the base case or most likely scenario. Id be a bit surprised if US actually follows thru attacking Greenland

I think Trump wants to have a long-term legacy and this will be Greenland. Venezuela cannot be a long-term legacy because well, in 30-40 years Venezuela might "disobey" and become truly independent again.

Have you heard about the "Wall of Fame/Shame of Presidents" in the White House, where Biden is with his auto-pen? Trump highlighted all the presidents who annexed new territories. I think he wants to be credited for Greenland.

Also even if people don't like that idea, he can't be re-elected, so why should he listen to the people who don't want it to be annexed?

Also if Greenland becomes US-American, USA will be larger in size than Canada and also significantly larger than Land-area-China, which will have a negative psychological effect because so far we recognize US is stronger by population, but not by size (compared to CA).
