To leave the situation, get an education etc. My mom and bio dad both joined when they were 18. It was the only way they could get a college education. The US gives “perks” like education for joining like this which is how we actually end up with people joining. Not to say some people don’t join because they want to support the US military efforts etc because that also happens. Personaly i dont judge because if u apply the morality logic suddenly every large institution becomes a minefield Wanna be a cop? Work at walmart? Work at mcdonalds? Work for a large bank? The world is saturated with companies or institutions that have a history of abuse or exploitation and even borderline slavery overseas. Are you now not gonna work almost anywhere? That kind of moral purity is a luxury most cannot afford which further branches out if u dont just work for them but also spend money buying their goods and services Were peasents trying to get by. The powerful we work for will do what their gonna do Only accepting jobs in very noble causes, or a small business and excluding shopping at any corporation that may have some dark moral implication is an extremely inconvinient and a really big and expensive ask from people that will limit your options in almost everything. It's not like the inmigration problem changed or declined these years to say that. Saying stuff like that is deniying that maduro regimen itself wasn't a problem that caused immigration before this invasion. I just think that’s an overly rigid interpretation of what he obviously meant (which is that this will exacerbate a pre-existing refugee crisis in a massive way), but I get where you’re coming from. The US will just install a right wing dictatorship in the place of the current Maduro admin. We talk a big game about how much we love promoting democracy abroad but we never actually follow through on it. The US will not be the savior of the Venezuelan people, they're not even the saviors of their own citizens. Thank god someone has some sanity. Anyone celebrating this is out of their mind.

It's a classic CIA tactic. It's so transparent that the "my country yearns for freedom" line has been a meme online for years. Don't fall for it: https://x.com/dropsitenews/status/2007484338254893453?s=46 Multiple Venezuelan civilians have been reported killed by the illegal US bombings. The US invaded a sovereign country and illegally kidnapped a sitting president so that Trump could hand over all of their oil to US corporations and potentially install a zionist as president who publicly promised to give all their oil to the US if they invaded and installed her as leader. Trump has already said, flat out, that this was about stealing Venezuelan oil: https://x.com/clashreport/status/2007390816239820889?s=46 This is classic, overt colonialism carried out by a man who was just outed as a pedophile and wants to change the subject by giving American corporations and neocons what they've wanted for decades. This is straightforward American imperialism. So you are gonna tell venezuelans in my country being happy and celebrating this how they should feel? Also are you invalidating what venezuelans have been saying about this regimen for years? You are so brave for that, maybe you are the one that's very into propaganda. At the end is a evil vs evil situation. Edited January 3 by NemoMyName 6

If you don't want to take their word then ok, but why take Trumps word that no civilians were killed? You think if he did kill civilians, that he wouldn't try to hide it? Lets suppose that civilians were not killed in the strikes. That does not change the fact that US intervention has historically targeted civilians(Just look at the Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, the list goes on), and the US clearly wont stop at just these strikes, so Venezuelans are still in danger. We have the worlds largest economy (USA) starting trade wars that hurt itself based on chasing 1970s industries This. Honestly, I think clear paralels are forming with the last empire collapse period we saw. When Britain/France/Spain all collapsed in on themselves slowly but surely through plateuing and failing to perpetually modernise. They all swept to power though the industrial revolution, and then as that stabilised they receeded from power due to things like stagnation/inequality/depleting supplies of resources/overextending. And they were replaced by the US, which was able to take all the industrial revolution's progress at half the cost as is wasn't replacing old industry just adopting industry for the first time. Which freed up more resources to progress the technological advancement (the rise of General motors etc) but since we hit the Internet 3.0 era it's stagnated. The USSR likewise engaged in a technological revolution and advancement race from the 1920s onwards through central planning and post-USSR disolution has stagnated. Now we have the US/Russia stagnating, and China's coming in from behind on the tech industry - as seen by its ability to produce cheaper useable products in EVs/AI etc. And most importantly, China is sitting on a massive barely touched supply of the key resources powering the next stage of technolgical revolution. History is cyclial because every ****er makes the same mistakes given 100 years. The gays know how to party

Because venezuelan people tried everything to get rid of maduro, everything, but they rigged the elections, killed and jailed oppositors. They were in a dead end, because if Maduro died, the regimen had another names to keep going on (i think Diosdado was a possible Maduro sucessor). That's the reason why they are celebrating this because they tried everything.

All these Maduro stuffs are just a front, like yes he is horrible but that's not these war monger Republicans are actually after. Just like GW Bush and his attack on Afghan and Iraq under the guise of 9/11 & Saddam Hussein before. Venezuela’s proven oil reserves are around 300 billion barrels, which is more than any other country, including Saudi Arabia. They are also some of the most expensive reserves to produce with low profit margins (more expensive than Canadas even) They may have the most oil in total reserves but they dont contain the highest profit potential. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Iran and Kuwait on that list can absolutely make more $$$$$$$$ total than Venezuela ever could I suppose u cant just invade those and doesnt change the point. But felt like mentioning that anyway cuz the amount suffering this profit motive may bring is not as staggering as some may think especially with Oil not being as expensive as it once was and being very plentiful now Edited January 3 by Economy
