I am far more afraid of human intelligence than of AI

AI is simply giving us what we ask for. It is, in many ways, the most generous and human-centered technology we have ever created. It does not generate anything on its own; it reflects human will, intention, and values. Let’s be honest: AI mistakes, AI errors, and AI aberrations are ultimately human mistakes, errors, and aberrations.

If you are worried about the people behind the technology, then support open-source projects, transparency, and education. But calling for bans on progress echoes the same fear that surrounded new technologies at the beginning of the 20th century when steam engines were seen as something almost demonic. History has shown us where that kind of fear leads.

The next step in human evolution will likely be combined intelligence, human and artificial working together. And this will profoundly shape the future of art, creativity, and expression. We are curious monkeys by nature; learning through PLAY is how we evolve.

Instead of investing energy in resisting or restricting what we don’t fully understand, we could channel that concern into integration: take a course on AI, explore real innovations already made possible by it, or simply try a prompt that makes a daily task easier.

Don’t blame the technology. Blame the humans behind its misuse and better yet, try to create something meaningful and constructive with it. Progress has always belonged to those who choose curiosity over fear.

STOP the Human vs AI fight. AI is just a mirror. Let her grow. Grow with her :enigma:

We are monsters and monsters never die

I thought we were past these already. And the lyrics in Sire don't make any logic sense, she's talking about Michael Jackson then she refers to a she 💀

I like some of the changes, but I agree that some of them take me out of it, too

Im totally for AI to be used in practical ways as a tool where it can actually improve a system, but it should be far away from human creative agency and human imagination altogether.

Needing something external and artificial to give you what you ask for all the time, sounds like a really empty and endless road to me.

Its really at complete odds with what being creative actually means.

I completely agree! 🫶

We are currently interacting with a clumsy, limited version of a technology that has the potential to eliminate tedious and repetitive tasks, tasks that don’t belong to creativity, yet directly undermine it by exhausting mental resources and disrupting creative flow.

👉 WHAT AI GENERATES IS NOT CREATION, AND THAT’S NOT REALLY UP FOR DEBATE. That’s also not where my argument lies.

An AI that is accessible to everyone and democratically regulated could open the door to an unprecedented phase of multidisciplinary human development. Leading academic institutions—such as the University of Barcelona, MIT, LSE, Oxford, or Stanford—are already researching how AI could transform social protection, the social contract, and citizens’ rights in the age of automation.

Perhaps my perspective is influenced by a European bias: in Europe, regulation has traditionally been more protective of citizens, requiring companies and corporations to adapt to the law—not the other way around.

We’ve crossed the point of no return. The choice now is whether we invest in learning, research, and ethical regulation—or remain stuck calling for bans while the world moves forward.

Let’s play. Learning has always started with curiosity.

I imagine it’s someone re-writing it to be less obviously about suicide, which is what people probably think Gaga would do if she released it.
