Ladle Ghoulash 32,129
Joanne is great, but I honestly think Harlequin is more musically interesting, so I’ll go with Harlequin We have forgotten our public MANNERS
Babylon Dynasty 1,827
I love Joanne sm and it has a special place in my heart (it was the first album I've ever bought) but Happy Mistake alone clears most of Joanne tbh. Strike a pose ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖 2
Agunimon 255
Joanne is in my top three. I realize that I am in the minority with that. I haven't listened to Harlequin since it was released and doubt I ever will return to it.
Anderson123 39,902
I love Joanne and will always prefer Gaga's original work but have been listening more to Harlequin this year and Happy Mistake absolutely clears anything on Joanne. John Wayne, Perfect Illusion, Million Reasons, Sinner's Prayer and Angel Down are still my Top 5 but need to come back to this album more. Mayhem has completely given me what was missing from Gaga for almost a decade.
TheFrenchGuy 1,950
I don't know if this will make sense but to me Joanne is Gaga performing Stefani to reconnect with herself. It was a necessary step for her and it's definitely a good album, but I much prefer Harlequin. It's a better, much more confident record on every aspect. Her rendition of That's Life is a perfect self reflecting conclusion to what felt like the first phase of her career. Mirrion Rizzons 12,023
Joanne but happy mistake and world on a string are better than anything on joanne 1
AVeryGagaHolyDick 27,802
Joanne cause it’s all original songs, but the quality of the production and the vocals are much better on Harlequin Folie À Deux > any song from Joanne imo
DESTROY UR DISEASE 14,074
don't get me wrong, I love Gaga doing covers - she absolutely knows how to make a good one, but I will always prefer her original songs, so... Joanne wins (even if Harlequin has Happy Mistake...) I can smell your sickness I can...

Bronco 15,092
Harlequin is cohesive and feels like a complete package. Plus it fully commits to the sound and styling of contemporary jazz. Joanne has always felt like 2 competing album visions to me and lacks cohesion as a result. I also think she worked with the wrong producers for the genres she was interested in exploring. As a result, to someone like me who loves the genres she visited in Joanne, it feels like an unresearched tourist tour of the genre. AVeryGagaHolyDick 27,802
By the way @Ladle Ghoulash I’m starting to appreciate Happy Mistake quite a bit. I still think it’s messy af but it’s giving Robin Hood in prison and I like it
Elizabeth 673
I love JazzGa so so so much, it's a dream of mine to see her live doing a full Jazz show but I think I prefer Joanne. Especially as of late I've really been listening to it a lot, I've been a Joanne stan since it came out but I've gained an even deeper appreciation for it this year!
