She's definitely earned not touring for a bit after Mayhem Ball galaxy level serve. I'd be here for a music forward approach for LG8. I think it's coming next year, or, if we're really lucky maybe a single later this year.

I do think a near suprise full album release a la Lemonade/Folklore/HMHAS would make a lot of sense at this point in Gaga's career.

I fully “expect” something completely fresh this time around. Of course it’ll have influences from the past, but not in an obvious copy-paste way à la MAYHEM or Requiem.

I agree with you. The general thought of Gaga doing an Album inspired by one sound/genre needs to be left in the past. During Mayhem she talked extensively about how she feels more inspired when she doesn't tie herself to a sound. I do think there will be some sound palates she'll lean into more, but I doubt we'll get something that is only in one place. I bet that's what made Mayhem as enjoyable to her - no creative boundaries.

Bumping this again, but I agree and feel like there's a bigger chance she'd write music to a specific aesthetic or concept more now than just a genre. ofc she'll likely have projects that fall into one category (most electronic or mostly ballads or mostly dance), but I doubt we'll see her approach things the same way she did for ARTPOP/Joanne/Chromatica.

Not me randomly deciding to log in to GGD after months and seeing a 45 page thread for LG8. Chile this thread finna be locked 4 times before the album comes i fear. That being said, the world cup/weeknd rumors I kinda believed in … wondering if that was pushed for abel’s next album? She essentially confirmed in that zane lowe interview she worked with The Weeknd and was recording music. Surely it wasn’t the DWP songs ?? I’m not truly expecting another MAYHEM level era bc that honestly still shocks me how good it was but I was lowkey expecting an EP or mini project before she took a hiatus. Do we think she scrapped it ?

I don't think because she's not talking / updating means she's not actively preparing next album.

After Chromatica tragic / trash era she NEEDED to make anticipation for next album. After MAYHEM she doesn't need that much of huge teasing.

Yeah, if anything, she needed to go away just for a little while after the great MAYHEM era and her Prada work which —let’s be real— “lacked” both quality and authenticity. Both to live her own personal life and to not expend her presence to the point where the fans get used to it. 

She’ll know exactly what to do to hook us back when it’s time.

I don't think the delay was for the sake of anticipation, these albums are ready when they're ready. Like i've said a thousand times, the minimum amount of time we can expect is like 3 years between major pop projects - 2 at an absolute push.

I said Chromatica ERA was trash. Loved the album. From what she said she didn't really loved her creative input on this one. She ks not in the same place

Everything about the Chromatica era was off in at least one aspect. I'm so glad she's found her groove again and feels comfortable being a pop goddess

To be honest, she didnt tease MAYHEM that much, Im sure she will be silent for at least 2 years before new music is teased, i guess she aint coming back as soon as we were hoping and thats ok.
