I’m looking from the bright side, this is good. The song wasn’t radio friendly, didn’t even crack the top ten and we knew that. But still managed to be a hit. The song is soon to be SOTY and/or ROTY recipent so of course the expectation is more.

There’s a gap between how well this song did for a pop song by a woman in 2025 and how well it did on the Hot 100 overall in 2025. Let’s not forget, the US has garbage taste in music, as is evidenced by the rest of the top 100 (or at least most of it). The global charts and streaming longevity matter far more than billboard hot 100 these days. For instance, Beyonce Cowboy Carter had fantastic debut positions in the US but started a massive overall freefall in the second week and currently is receiving less than 900k daily streams which is pretty shocking from a 27 track album with numerous collabs. Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long
