thisboyisamonster 1,192
Used to be SHICD but definitely have come round to LoveDrug with time. Very disco rock energy and great lyrics. But both are fantastic!
Monstermilo 5,425
shicd is more iconic but Lovedrug is such a good song - love her vocals on it
SevenWonder 4,654
Usually I hate these because I can't ever choose. But this one is easy: Lovedrug. I absolutely love that song.

Gorehound 5,368
Never understood the LoveDrug craze honestly. It's a lovely little song but pretty one dimensional and filler-esque despite the poetic lyrics, and could easily have been taken to far greater heights. I'd rather listen to an actual Stevie Nicks song rather than this if I was feeling that particular vibe. SHICD sounds so much more like a drug than LoveDrug. It's hypnotic, hazy, euphoric, luxurious and synthetic; with a deep heartbeat groove, stunning synth work and gorgeous soft, breathy vocals from Gaga. I also find its theme far more interesting than the basic "your love is my drug" cliche, exploring the way people escape into substance abuse for a moment of peace or freedom, and the artificial happiness, eroticism and empathy felt. But laced with the dark undertones of addiction, health risks and the self-destructive nature of drug users. If you've ever actually experienced this then this song definitely takes you straight to that moment. (Even its title is clever tongue and cheek double meaning "so happy I could die / so high I could OD" etc.) Edited December 10, 2025 by Gorehound 1 1 1

qoqo 4,139
Pocketful of sunshine vs i kissed a girl (SHICD is top 5 in her discography. LD isnt even top 5 on mayhem)

Auralegends 8,500
LoveDrug is one of the best songs on MAYHEM, so it easily clears SHICD
SleepingSun 892
So Happy I Could Die is, in my humble opinion, one of her weakest songs. I never really liked it. Love Drug, on the other hand, just keeps getting better over time. bim 775
I never connected with the hype around SHICD, it’s a perfectly fine song. LoveDrug is one of my favorites of her career.
