I enjoyed your take. It made me think about both songs, and while Love Drug is a GREAT bop with beautiful lyrics, I do think the way SHICD's production echoes the subject matter is a bit more interesting. LoveDrug seems a bit more catchy and "single worthy" while So Happy I Could Die seems more like an album track NOT A FILLER. LoveDrug is written in a way that stands out while still feeling like a middle section of the album after the rush of Disease -> Zombieboy run. Just listen to the two songs back to back and note how you enjoyed Love Drug much more than SHICD. From there it is but a short step to conclude that Love Drug is the better song. I have always loved that song because her voice is so smooth in the verses, I love that lower register of her, it's very soothing and warm. One of my favorite tracks on Mayhem.
