Yeah that's 1, and Madonna also praised Gaga before the BTW/EY comparisons, and they did some talk show together... When Gaga thought that Katy copied her mechanical horse and green wig, she didn't hesitate to call Katy out on Twitter lol

Madonna shaded Gaga consistently for at least a year or two after that. And I’d say the key difference between Madonna + Gaga vs Gaga + Katy is that Gaga and Katy are peers and Madonna is more like a mentor/role model for Gaga, which completely changes the dynamic.

"consistently" come on... She performed BTW on the MDNA tour and came back at Gaga after Gaga implied that Madonna doesn't write her music in an interview... and that's pretty much it

And that's still only 1 example. People on this forum act like Madonna is a monster who mistreats every new artist in the industry while the only example so far is Gaga 3 years after her debut BECAUSE she felt that Gaga copied her lol

She performed BTW on the MDNA tour and talked about Gaga during basically every show on the tour, you’re gonna act like that isn’t insanely petty?. Like be so fr lmao. I’m a big Madonna fan, but I’m not gonna act like she wasn’t a massive asshole to Gaga (and doesn’t have a reputation for being insanely catty and cutthroat to other female artists in general). She’s old enough to be her mother, is someone Gaga obviously looked up to, and she handled her feeling that Gaga copied her about as ungraciously as you could, which, imo, reeks of insecurity.
