Jane was so great in the challenges but an absolute snore in the work room. Even though that shouldn't count against her, it made her unlikable and I think production felt the need to get rid of her. Symone got to stay after Kandy won that Fifth Harmony lipsync, it was a double shantay. And that Onya Nurve and Jewel Sparkles boring lipsync on the makeover episode got a double shantay. Since Snatch Game, something switched and Myki was starting to gain more and more momentum. As for your last point, personally, I think track record matters when the lip sync is fairly close. I mean, speaking to the S17 finale lip sync specifically, I hated Onya's lip sync to Abra, but she undoubtedly won the season. I also don't think Jewels did enough to justify her winning the season in the same way Sasha Velour or Nymphia did. I wasn't too upset about that. With Jane vs. Nini, Nini definitely won the lip sync, but I don't think Jane did terrible. They could've easily justified Jane staying, especially when she had that historical track record. Let's remember that this program is first and foremost a reality show, then a competition. They could easily save Jane, they gave queens passes for doing less. Production made top 5 finale in past, they have ability to double sashay next week to set the top3.. etc. There is many tools to achieve the script goal, but that would also be very predictable episode. Fans of the series for years discuss about the shenanigans and plot armors for "winner edit" queens, so I believe most of people thought that they will keep strong-hitters like Nini and Jane and we kumbaya away until next time. So producers just invented a new moment because of that. Another important factor is the winner profile sadly. Jane Don't reminds me about some queens by a lot, her siganture makes me think Jinkx and Bianca. Now looking at other choices, Myki and Darlene are two queens with confidence and interesting type of humor and I think there is no other winner in hall of fame with "that". And about the elimination... I am just like.... they'll do anything for shock value. Nini won the lip-sync for sure, but Jane did not need to be in that position. All the others feel like they literally couldve gone home first and be the Porkchop of the season, especially (I’m sorry) Darlene. Even though I LOVE Darlene’s humour, she a bit too amateur. I feel that it’s always a “coincidence” that yhe judges like her performances. She’s even always surprised herself…: and let’s not even talk about her looks… The only decent look she brought was the beige sculptural one. At least Myki has been super consistent on ALL levels. Nini is also a bit too … cliche for me. I feel like her drag is just a bit too cookie cutter. Nothing unique really… very talented tho. If Darlene is good at lipsync I really see her winning all this. This season was a bit of a mess tho, I don't know why they didn't do the ball challenge and let's not talk about Ru's decisions. You could have a strong top 2 contenders with Jane having 10 tops and Myki with 8. Anyways, as much as I want Darlene to win I doubt she will.
