JustJames 1,061
If it were ineligible, it wouldn’t have shown up on voters’ ballots (which it did - meaning it was submitted by her team, and accepted into the category by any applicable screening procedures). Valid theory otherwise, since I believe live recordings of tracks that are recorded at the Grammys are ineligible (i.e., if [Joanne (Piano Version)] had been a live recording from the 2018 ceremony, it wouldn’t have been able to have been submitted for the following year's ceremony). Freud 5,735
I have a hard time believing this. Gaga's team has submitted "Abracadabra" for MV. Would there even be the possibility of a disqualification, they would have used "Disease MV" for consideration instead. Or added Disease as 2nd option. I believe the whole category was rigged. This is my reaction to the snub by the way... I was so over it
LateToCult 41,130
The Grammys don’t care about showing their favoritism or dislike of an artist. Abra probably just got edged out due to voter politics. Think voters assuming someone else will nominate it so they vote for other lesser known projects or voters thinking Mayhem is already going to get a lot of love so they spread the love towards other artists they like in these smaller categories.
