Reminiscing the Monster Ball

The Monster Ball (1.0 and 2.0) was the last time I saw Gaga live.

Ive been listening to my SoundCloud uploads, and came upon this little mix I made

and it got my heart pumping and made my blood pressure rise. Seeing those interludes on a 50ft tall screen directly in front of me shook my very DNA

Its crazy to think that this forking bench was so ahead of her time, carefully curating a perfect blend between art and pop, while also appealing to the outcast goth kid in all of us back in 2009/2010, and executing every move so flawlessly

I used to check this site every day, just to see what she was wearing that day, because her fashion was so outrageous and flawless.

Gotdang it, Bobby, we're so lucky to have her

It was actually the first concert I ever went to, and I traveled 7 hours to Europe to see it! Its still the best concert ive ever been to.

I might be wrong, but I think the show i was at was the first time she played You and I for the public. She said she didnt think it was going to end up on an album, but it was such an important song, and she wanted to play it for us 🥹🥹🥹

 

Then she played it at every show after that

Its crazy to think the BTW era was still going during this tour! She released 4 singles from BTW during the tour

I'm not joking when I say that this show changed my life, I don't think the feeling of euphoria I had when I left the arena can ever be replicated. I was already a huge fan by the time I saw the Monster Ball but seeing her live really solidified for me that Gaga's a very special artist!

I still listen to my multiple studio albums and live albums from this tour wishing I could've been granted a chance to go.
