I used to enjoy Gagita’s low budget parody videos in the beginning, they were fun and creative, but lately the whole act feels a bit off to me, anyone else feels this way?

They are literally touring in different cities with their Mayhem ball, and soon they will follow Gaga to Australia and tour an after party show. These shows that basically copy and paste the tour and the the posters everything, announcing their “arrival,” saying “can’t wait to see all the fans”… it’s starting to feel like living under Gaga’s shadow and make profit. 

What made it weirder was seeing their team constantly push those tickets on fan forums, almost like they’re part of the actual tour... They brand it into "gathering fans together" and "let fans who cannot afford the tour to experience the tour"

there are plenty of tribute acts of famous artists. its crazy they managed to get to tour. let them have fun

Tbh I've never watched a Gagita video, so I don't really have much of an opinion. I think all impersonators, in some way, ride on the coat tails of the artist they are embodying. I think it's part of the schtick.

I think it's no different from those ABBA, Queen, etc. tribute shows that constantñy tour. It IS a fun way for fans to experience / relive the tour and the music esp since a lot of territories don't get a tour stop.

I never got the point of people who do impersonation as a career, like... Why not use the talent and resources for your own art?

I don’t think it’s any different than people who act/do theatre tbh. Not every person that’s a talented performer is a talented writer/has the skills, vision, or technical ability to create their own work from the bottom up, so performing in a tribute act can be a way for them to still have the opportunity to perform material they love and make money off of it even if it’s not their own. It could also just be a creative gig to make money and they could be working on their own material and we just haven’t seen it.

If they managed to become big enough that they are actually taking away some of Gaga's ticket sales or something then I could see it being an issue but for now it's just a fun fan-created thing  

following her is maybe a little extra, would be cool if they were touring The Monster Ball or something lol but makes sense Mayhem

It's basically drag but amped up 100x with tons of costumes, dance rehearsals, etc. I think it's admirable how hard they work to replicate the show, and it's a fun thing for fans. I wouldn't read into too it much. Lady Gagita isn't a corporation.

I was a fan when she was still in her low-budget era way back the 2010s, but within Gaga's fan club in the Philippines, she's notorious to have a NASTY attitude. She also has an SA allegation, numerous if I'm not mistaken.
