This is the first season of a show in a long time that’s had me reaching for my phone, mainly because the writing and pacing feel completely disjointed.

The acting, writing, storylines, and even the soundtrack have all been underwhelming.

yeah I'm only tuning it because I've watched all the prior seasons.  The first 2 were def the best.  3rd was still pretty solid.  4th season was Uggh kind of stretching it but still watchable.  This season has dragged

Daenerys

This is the Game of Thrones Season 8 moment I dreaded. Let's hope the final episode is good.

Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen

Why are they so scared of killing characters off? The plot armor is too much with this show. I wanna see bodies on the floor and I  wanna see them NOW.  Except for Robin, she’s the goat

Hate that it's basically 4 movies :Cautious:  I will never find the time to watch this season. Who the **** has an hour 15 mins to sit down and watch one episode

Update. I'm not even going to bother watching the last season   everything I've read online it seems like a dumpster fire. It feels like it got Riverdaled. And I'm not watching an awkward coming out scene like that in 2025 :bear:

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I love the new season. It goes pretty in depth with the story.

Dustin is my favorite main character and the loss of Eddie really affected him. The moments with him and Steve are great.

I love Robin and her girlfriend.

Will’s scene was just fine. It’s the 80’s so I can only imaging how difficult it would have been for a small town gay would feel when coming out. And I appreciate it being done on a big show like this.

I love the series. S3 was my favorite and 4 was really good too. I have tickets to an NYE showing but I can’t make it. So I got tickets to see the finale in New Year’s Day. I expect a lot of action packed scenes for the finale.

The petition is not about Mike and Will

It's about the whole volume 2 inconsistencies between what was announced by the brothers and the cast and the leaked filming.

Apparently volume 2 was heavily cut, making Holly the main character and Mike having an overall 5 minutes ish of lines when he was announced as the leader of the group with the most screen time.

There is an entire part of an underwater storyline that was cut.

It happens but I think the brothers got very late as they were editing up until last week and netflix asked them to ship what they could and make the story works.

There is a big online campaign going around with review bombing this episode due to Mike/Will not happening.

This is the case with most major films/series. Avatar has a lot of cut content. Joker 2 had a lot of cut Gaga/Harley content. Haus of Gucci had a lot of cut Gaga/Patrizia content. The Harry Potter films cut a lot out of the books as is the case with a lot of book to film adaptations. Comic book films, DC in particular, has a lot of cut content. In fact some of the most toxic fanbases are those demanding to release the cuts such as the Snydercuts to Man Vs. Steel and the Justice League. None of this is new or out of the ordinary for tv series and movies. Stranger Things doesn’t need a toxic fan base demanding cut scenes/content and shipping.

I really think this release schedule does a lot of harm for this season. As more time passes with having watched part 2, the more critical my opinion of it gets. I already had somewhat critical opinions of the first part, but this second part is terrible in my eyes. I think it’s so poorly written, full of plot inconsistencies, prioritizes emotional beats over logic (so much so that it disrupts the suspension of disbelief required for immersion), and plot conveniences happen suddenly out of nowhere that strengthens the plot armor of the main characters.

I’m sure the review bombing of episode 7 has a fair bit of homophobia behind it for some, but I and so many other LGBT people I know also thought that the coming out scene was pretty bad.
