This condescending tone of hers bothers me. Not to mention that the submissive stereotype is a blatant misogyny. Gaga has a strong personality and is unlikely to be easily manipulated. She has known how to leave relationships that weren't good for her. She's an artist, but she's also a businesswoman. And she's smart. She's clearly happy, healthy, and inspired. We should trust her judgment and not gossip.

If we go by this logic then any marriage could be perceived in this way. I don’t think his involvement in her work is controlling, rather just guidance. She does not need his help, she’s choosing to.

I meaaan... Let's not pretend Gaga has always been the best at judging people's characters, she's had her fair share of toxic boyfriends and collaborators in the past.

That being said, this is her life and I don't think we should be speculating about these things. I believe they're aware of how it may look from the outside looking in, so these rumors are probably not really surprising to them, but they're both adults who know what they're doing and I'm glad they seem to be happy together.
