The entire plot is "white man signs up to help colonial empire oppressing a native population due to their land being valuable, native tribe are failing to defend themselves but then white man falls in love with native woman and switches side and now only thanks to the help of the good white man the natives are able to fight back and stop bad white man because not all white men bad".

I feel you don't understand the difference between a Tesla bot presentation and a film created to entertain. 

It's not a tech demo...it's a film that uses never before seen technology...but that isnt the focal point. Its a tool used to tell the story the way it was intended to be seen. That's all.

Jake isnt a character that promote white nationalism...if anything his character REBUKES not just "the white man" but humanity entirely by the end of the first film and becomes one of the Navi for the entire rest of the franchise. Sooo...again...this isnt a "white man savior" film. You're just harping on his race for some reason when he could've been a black guy...Spanish guy...Asian guy...and the story would have been told the same. His race isnt even brought up...You're the only one doing that. Nobody else.

While I get where you are coming from with white savour piece, I do think you are over politicising it. Cameron is making the kind of Hollywood epics we don't really see that much anymore, the spectacle of it all is what brings people in and to be fair films like Avatar keep the cinema/move theatre industry going. I don't think the plot is anything new but the lore of the universe is getting deeper with each movie and with the parks etc. Its always been a divisive film franchise though which I find interesting, very love or hate.
