I hope they include a montage of the fans jumping in circles together during that song :bradley:

That was one of my favorite bits when I saw her. Like, 20-30 strangers holding hands and jumping around

THAT IS BEAUTIFUL I ALSO HOPE THEY INCLUDE THAT

Ngl, I feel like we'd left the Avatar thing behind as well.

Avatar is cutting edge cinema tech...highest grossing film of all time...global phenomenon...has theme park lands built and in development...a whole language was created for the films...etc like WHAT? :what:

I mean a film is the sum of its parts surely.

You brought up the film, I'm discussing the film.

I mentioned that film because:

1. It is directed by James Cameron

2. It is marketed for IMAX/3D (Premium formats)

3. Avatar is the highest grossing films of all time

Just to say, no, 3D isn’t dead and people will be paying to see movies in that format.

I’m sure Billie’s 3D film will do amazing in theaters especially with James Cameron and 3D attached to it.

Again with this highest grossing thing.

High gross doesn't mean good. It just means people paid to see it.

Its a glorified tech demo with nothing of value to say. Its lazy and repeats decades of stale, stunted and largely bigoted drivel where only the white man can save the native savage.

Its drivel.

Well I think MOST film studios would kill to have their film be the highest grossing of all time...audiences WW love it which is hard to do given each market has a different cultural appeal...and the films have achieved so many levels of "firsts" that it absolutely deserves to be the highest grossing film of all time...

"Glorified tech demo" criminally underestimates the DECADES it has taken to even make these films...future generations of film makers will use Avatar as a template for film making as James Cameron had to INVENT new tech to capture and create the film he envisioned. This was no small feat and was HUNDREDS of millions of dollars to risk but it definitely paid off and cinephiles like myself appreciate him as one of the last few pioneers in film

I think you're looking at it in such a negative light youre not seeing the overarching themes...humans impact on climate change, our connection to nature and the balance of life, white imperialism yes but not in a favorable or stereotypical light, etc...

If you dont like the films...ok but you can't deny their cultural impact or historical significance in film...literally no other movie is comparable because before Avatar there was no other "Avatar"

Put some respect on the franchise :queenga:

I feel like you don't understand what a tech demo is.

Because you just described how its a tech demo while arguing with me for calling it a tech demo.

The entire plot is "white man signs up to help colonial empire oppressing a native population due to their land being valuable, native tribe are failing to defend themselves but then white man falls in love with native woman and switches side and now only thanks to the help of the good white man the natives are able to fight back and stop bad white man because not all white men bad".

Its sloppy white saviour bs written by a hypocritical hippy millionaire.

TRULY. The god awful vocal doctoring makes it basically unwatchable.

I didn't like how the concert felt sped up, and the interludes were skipped over and not highlighted as part of the show. I think having seen the tour live I was able to appreciate the film more, but I can imagine it being something not great for someone who never got to see the show.

What's wrong with Chromatica Ball film? And why we gotta bring it up in negative light.

That it was poorly edited by Gaga herself and HBO release only... You can't follow the choreo bcause it cuts so fast each shot :saladga::icega:

Well... :poot:

Idk, I went three times. My BIGGEST gripe is that they were stadium shows so anyone that didn't get floor seats had to sit a mile away from the stage and the sound sucked ass. And anyone who did get floor seats had trouble seeing her from below the stage :rip: don't get me started on the box design of the stage itself. I sat a little more to the side at the Miami date and we didn't even see her until Alice which was, what? 20 minutes into the show already? 'Cause for some reason she decided to do extended versions of 15 year old songs to open the show :rip:

I could complain all day :icant: That album, tour, and era is so booty compared to everything else she's done :icant:

Yeah, same. I remember it fondly cause I attended the NYC date and it was one of, if not the best night of my life. It was the first time I traveled on my own and paid every single thing. It was a life highlight and being so happy in the stadium was a feeling I could never describe...but aside from the emotional attachment...the tour is quite subpar compared to Mayhem and other eras. It just didnt age well AT ALL.
