I know that wasn’t your intention, but the comment comes across as ableist. Not everyone is able to do things that others might find easy, and AI can be incredibly helpful for that. I use AI to help me write all my messages on this website as well.

I removed my original comment because I do not think it is going to send the message I intended. As someone who went through school with multiple learning disabilities and worked like hell, I do not want to hear what is or is not ableist simply because there is now a dependency on an artificial source to generate thought and remove authenticity and humanity from an idea. Just my opinion on the use of AI and what I have seen it do to students in my experience as an educator.

I apologize — I didn’t know your situation, and I’m not accusing you of ableism. English isn’t my first language, and I also use AI to help with that. I sometimes give AI keywords so it can help me craft a well-written Gagadaily response. I’ve even uploaded a database of typical Gagadaily threads and replies, so now it generates a list of possible responses I can use when replying to a thread. I don’t think this takes away from authenticity. I believe we should embrace and appreciate the technology. If you want it to sound more casual, more formal, or more apologetic, just tell me!

I apologize too- I think that if it is helping you in a learning setting, then I encourage using it so long as you are utilizing the technology to keep learning and reach a point it may not be needed.  That can be empowering to knowledge and I applaud it. It is definitely a much different scenario of AI use than what I had originally believed when reading your comment.

I wish I had understood your situation better so I did not respond with the idea you were somebody using AI for everything and it is my bad for assuming. (But for anybody who my comment may apply to- the sentiment still stands)
