President Donald Trump has pardoned Rudy Giuliani and scores of others accused of involvement in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election, Trump's pardon attorney said late Sunday.

Ed Martin posted a proclamation on X, which says Giuliani and scores of others will be pardoned for alleged activities linked to the 2020 election. Martin was replying to his own X message from May in which he said "No MAGA left behind."

Trump has yet to comment publicly. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the people listed on the proclamation “were persecuted and put through hell by the Biden Administration for challenging an election, which is the cornerstone of democracy. Getting prosecuted for challenging results is something that happens in communist Venezuela, not the United States of America, and President Trump is putting an end to the Biden Regime’s communist tactics once and for all.”

The list of 77 people also includes other high-profile Trump allies including attorneys Sidney Powell, John Eastman and Kenneth Chesebro, and Trump's chief of staff in 2020, Mark Meadows. The pardon is written in broad language that exonerates "all" citizens accused of election interference.

The pardons are largely symbolic as none of the people listed were convicted of federal crimes, which the presidential pardon covers. Several of those pardoned had already had their charges dropped by state courts.

A genuinely infuriating comment.

Can somebody please tell Karoline that the cornerstone of democracy is accepting election results, not challenging them. That's the thing that keeps the show on the road in a democracy, has done for 250 years in the US. That's 'accepting'.

Thank you! I think of myself as a respectable person in at least my actions and would never intend to harm someone... but every time she smiles and lies I want to slap that bitch across the face so hard. I'm so sorry for how rude that sounds but she is not only annoying, she is also stupid and clearly plays to an agenda she gets paid to lie about. Being someone who is HER age too... I hope she rots in the deepest part of hell for having no transparency to this administration. She was likely promised protection as long as she lied, and I cannot wait for the day she is persecuted/faces consequences with the rest of them, and I wanna watch her smile and smirk her ****ing way out of that.

Karoline Leavitt should "Leave It" all alone and go back to focusing on anything she wanted to do with her life. Biggest ****ing sell-out I've seen in a political figure this young and all she does it lie/spit out false propoganda.

Her lack of spine in the last few months has positioned her close to Trump on the morality scale- and the people of the US need to speak out against her more for adding gasoline to an existing fire. Please look beyond the fact they hired her for her appearance/age to avoid hate... and understand she is as foul as the rest of the administration

Why is this pardon thing legal? :triggered: I know almost every if not every country does this but it's ridiculous

Agreed tbh. Pardons should be subject to judicial review tbh
