The book has been adapted countless times, I find it crazy how people seem outraged that a filmmaker is choosing a different approach. Reminds me of all the criticism Marie Antoinette received 20 years ago, going as far as being booed at Cannes, and it’s now considered one of the most influential period films in recent memory.
