Sadly I wouldn’t have expected a collab. As much as Gaga obviously loves MJs work and legacy, he became too controversial for all the wrong reasons. So I doubt any collab would had taken place. Same way she distanced herself from the likes of R.Kelly and Marilyn Manson.

She does keep a lot of her old clothes in an archive- she says the tour clothes are her most important. I'm sure if something of hers is auctioned off, she is okay with it and doesn't want it in her collection anymore

Idk about a straight up collab but he definitely would have worked with her on something. People would be shocked how prolific his work actually was, he spent most of his time in the studio and it wasn't always for his own music.

these clothes were auctioned. Gaga didn’t just weirdly show up one day and ask to buy his clothes.

she is a collector. Lots of people collect clothing worn by their idols. Or clothing from famous iconic movies or props, etc

This just makes me wonder.. as an adult now who has a rough idea of what an estate sale actually is. Does that mean he didn't have a proper will?? Shouldn't he have left his belongings to whoever he wanted? An estate sale as far as I know only happens when you don't have a proper will and everything gets sold by the 'estate'

I personally think at first I’d be bothered as a kid but as I grew up I’d actually appreciate thaf someone like Gaga is taking good care of them in a safe place with temp control and maintenance of the pieces to preserve them as long as possible. 

I want to think they’re ok with Gaga being the one that preserves that collection because having them comes from actual love and admiration and she does care about all those pieces. Any other famous person would’ve made a way to make money out of these already, a museum or something.
