Its not 3,000  latin votes. That news was wildly un-detailed. 

They invited 3600 new members, only 2900 are eligible voters, and out of those 2900 not all are from the Latin Academy. A big chunk yes, but closer to maybe 2000-2500 (The entire academy is about 4K). 

Then, all of those Latin members have to accept the invite, not everyone accepts. Then not everyone actually votes, and those who vote dont necessarily vote latin. 

And even after that, there's still around 11k members that are not latinos to count for. The inclusion of the Latin Academy definitely moves the needle, but it cant get you an AOTY on its own. Bad Bunny would need a sever US vote fracture to win, and based on AOTY nominees, the vote can split but not to that extend because this year there is actually quite a balanced pool of Rnb, Pop and Rap. its not like last year where 5 albums where pop.

Song of the Year goes to the Songwriter (Composition, lyrics) while Record goes and focuses on Production, engineers, performance, singer.

Yes! She deserves every last one of these.  So happy that Harlequin has been given a chance too!

My gut feeling is that she will lose Album of the year because she’ll have multiple wins. A crime if so!

Haven't seen the nominees but none of those seem off base.
