This is actually a great pop song. If we didn't have the context of how Katy Perry has behaved IRL, I think we would be praising it .

I also think that having "woman's world" playing when she lit a cigaret at the gas station, a both foolish and self-destructive action. I think the last scene is her acknowledging -- or beginning to acknowledge -- the impact of her 143 era. Her 143 era was so explosive it hurt Katy Perry and those around her.

Agreed, like the ring in the sink meant the marriage over, tree maybe meant she was once suspended from school for "making sexual motions" toward a tree while pretending it was Tom Cruise. Daisy meant she have to stay strong and keep living something like that

I feel like the song could be good but there's no feeling in any of the vocals. She's either just singing the words without any emotion or she's yelling them. Not really worth a second listen imo

Definitely a better attempt than 143, though to me as a non-Katy stan it sounds like "typical Katy Perry", and not anything super groundbreaking. I do appreciate the sonic nod to some of her older sound, almost as if she read on the internet that the last song of hers people liked was NRO lol. And like someone above said, it seems this video has some more thought put into it despite the retention of a campy atmosphere, like the loss of her marriage, wanting to keep moving forward because of her daughter, and acknowledgement of Woman's World as a misstep.

Honestly i like it! Im not instantly attracted to the song but i thought it was definitely much better than her recent efforts. There was a tiny feel of that classic katy in it. I think now there will at least be a song or two on the album i will enjoy

Logged on to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. This isn’t an awful song, right?

I like the track a lot (sucker for mid tempo pop). The lyrics and lack of “umph” make me only want the instrumental though. 

Also have a hard time with how tone deaf she is with things like the Bezos space trip. (The wealthy will stick together, though I suppose) 

Anyway, not mad at this song. It’s not horrible.
