Granted, it's not her best song by a longshot. But it's better than 85% of the mess that was 143. It's halfway decent, it's relevant to her current situation, she's being real, this is the best we can hope for after she's lost her way over the years. The video wasn't half bad either. It was camp but not Woman's World cringey camp, this was mature camp. There is a right way to do it and she achieves it here. What's cheering is that she's taken in every criticism and suggestion her fans and the public have made: no Dr Luke involvement, back to pop rock roots, writing about something maturely, taking her art more seriously. Here's hoping she takes it all onboard and makes a half decent album out of it. For now - notes were taken, an effort was made, a s**t was given. And that's good enough for now.
