Hey everyone, inspired by the trend of artists releasing "deluxe" or "special" CDs for their new album with alternative artwork and exclusive tracks, I created a concept, if Mayhem would have these kind of CDs.

So I created three special editions, each with TDD, KFL and CSTH and with two different acoustic bonus tracks each, subtitled with the name of the special edition. I plan on making real CDs using the graphics I have created, so far I have the front cover (found on the internet), a tracklist for the backside of the CD and a disc artwork. Please note that I do now own copyright to any of the photos or logos used in the concepts and I do not intend to sell these mock-up-CDs. They are just a fan made concept for fun :)

SPECIAL EDITION NO. 1: MAYHEM - THE POISON

With acoustic bonus tracks "Disease (The Poison Acoustic Version)" and "Perfect Celebrity (The Poison Acoustic Version)". We already know this version of "Disease" and for PC I imagined the version she performed on  The Stern Show. The cover uses the one which originally is used for the Amazon exclusive vinyl.

SPECIAL EDITION NO. 2: MAYHEM - THE ANTIDOTE

With acoustic bonus tracks "Disease (The Antidote Acoustic Version)" and "Abracadabra (The Antidote Acoustic Version)". We already know this version of "Disease" and for Abra I imagined the version she performed on  The Stern Show. This cover is the one that started the whole concepts since I stumbled on it on the internet and immediately thought that it would work great as a cover.

SPECIAL EDITION NO. 3: MAYHEM - THE MEDICINE

This might be my favorite version of these three. With "Vanish Into You (The Medicine Acoustic Version)", which is originally the performance on The Late Show and it's a crime this hasn't been released to streaming and "Die With a Smile (The Medicine Acoustic Version)", which is the acoustic version you might already know as you can find it on streaming services.

Since in Disease, where "The Antidote" and "The Poison" are inspired by because of the respective live versions, I searched for a third title and since a line in Disease is "running out of medicine" I think this might suit the other two titles.

I personally had a lot of fun creating these concepts and I will also do some graphics for the inside of the CD cases. Next step would be to turn them into real CDs I can put up on my CD gallery in my living room.

And once I'm done I plan on transforming the Harlequin vinyl-alternative covers into CD-versions and yesterday I had an idea for a series of Chromatica special editions. I think I might have found myself a now freetime activity :)

I hope you like my works. Let me know what you think about the concepts :) Thank you and have a good one

Love the concept behind the designs! The colors also set an emotional tone for the album and it's all well-structured!

I do wish Gaga would release "collector" editions of her albums for those who are looking for more than just the music, but want to deep dive into more artwork, bonus tracks, world-building, etc

That's why I loved the Chromatica Trifold-Vinyl. There were so many extras around the world of Chromatica! It's a shame the whole concept couldn't be used more... I also have something for Chromatica in mind in terms of collector editions, but this might take its time.

You can say about Taylor's variants what you want but with all the different covers, the many photos included in each variant, the names of the editions and the vinyl connected with lyrics from her album, the different poems with easter eggs, etc... it adds a lot more to the "experience" of the music.
