Halloween songs are far from being as impactful as the Christmas ones but it took time for those to get there though... so maybe in a few years who knows

Bloody Mary got it's biggest day ever, Abracadabra jumped over 100 spots, The Dead Dance jumped 69 spots, MJ jumped up ~20 spots on the artist list from his Halloween songs

Halloween isn't nearly as big as Christmas but it's arguably the only other comparable seasonal themed boost thingy. Whatever you wanna call it

The fact that without Taylor’s drop this month Bloody Mary would’ve hit top 10 on US Spotify 

It could do it next year, it’s a certified classic now next to Thriller, Somebody’s Watching Me, etc.

The truth is, Halloween should be bigger and have way more impact.
A boost on Spotify is cute, but it’s not enough. Songs jump hundreds of spots for the most random reasons, you’d think Halloween, the second most important holiday, would be doing way more than that.

And the fact that it’s only one day, yes, ONE day, makes it even worse. The buzz should be starting in September, let’s be real.

And I’m sorry, but I have to say it: I blame the gays (therefore all GGD).

The straights get over two months of their Christian, heteronormative holiday and we can't even extend the impact of Halloween for like, two weekends?

It has gotten a bigger boost every year. Even DWAS fell because some songs got immense boosts, that are was bigger than BM
