She’s to be protected, seen when she pleases, and can’t just interact like she used to. There’s some really insane people out there and I think we learned that from the cases of John Lennon, Selena, etc. She’s probably doing it for her mental health, her peace, and she’s an asset not everyone deserves access to. I suspect she doesn't want to encourage that behavior (fans gathering at her hotel and being rowdy late at night), and fears that visiting those fans will spur them on and make it worse. She's 39. When she was 25, she might have enjoyed it, but at 39 it probably bothers her and she worries about it bothering the hotel workers. And at the end of the day, Gaga still interacts with fans over social media (some is probably an assistant, but some are defn. her ), still does a barrier walk with DIY, etc. She interacts plenty with fans, so I don't really get the complaints tbh. 2 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think she wants to protect the private side of her self more now as she has said in interviews. Trying to reconcile the parts of her that she wants to be famous, and the parts of her that she wants to be private is something she has stated as being a journey through her whole career. She talked about how it put a lot of pressure on her to always have an amazing outfit whenever she stepped in the street, for example.
