I really don’t get why she would release Total Mayhem.

Like, she said it would be total mayhem while teasing The Dead Dance/Can’t Stop/Kill For Love. So to me, “total mayhem” is just how she wanted to describe that version of the album.

Not saying “IT WILL NOT HAPPEN”, I know nothing and Gaga always finds ways to surprise the public, but so far, I don’t believe that theory.

The album has been quite dead for months on streaming (compared to its glory obviously), and while The Dead Dance did okay numbers, Can’t Stop and Kill flopped miserably, failing to push the album.

The tour is highly successful and hyped, she doesn’t need **** to make it sold out.

So what would be the point for her? Why would she extend a dead album that already has 17 songs and a sold out tour?

You could say she could do it for her art and for the fans cause we love the album to death, with no real commercial intention. But why did she not release a Vanish/How Bad/Eden music video then, if she wanted to just please the fans with a bonus?

If anything, I believe LG8 is in the works, closer than we expect. She could release it somehow linked to MAYHEM, making it a total mayhem but I don’t see her naming it Total Mayhem or anything actually linked to MAYHEM, unless she makes sure to let us know us it’s LG8, a whole new album, on every occasion.

Maybe the album's reissue is part of a strategy for the Grammys campaign. She has been dropping several hints about songs she would like to release but hasn't

Dead album ? Be serious.

It's her biggest album in streams, sales, awards, critics reception and era overall since Born This Way. She totally could push a TFM situation as LG8 with MAYHEM. There's so much reasons to milk that era more than there were for ARTPOP, Joanne or Chromatica anyway

Ok, the "Total Mayhem" on the billboard is a bit suspicious  Maybe this is really happening :selena:

That’s off topic, I never said the album wasn’t successful. It’s just very far from its prime now.

True but she “milked” The Fame while being everywhere with Paparazzi, right after three successful singles. This time, the last hit is 10 months old and the album has already had a revamp that has not done wonders commercially. And truthfully, she didn’t really milk The Fame as she released a brand new album that had a deluxe version attached to the previous one. So as I said, I can see her releasing a brand new album and somehow attaching it to MAYHEM, but I can’t see her doing another version of MAYHEM

The “revamp” was a quiet re-issue where she put two previously released bonus tracks on the album alongside a new single (a re-issue which they went out of their way to avoid calling a “Deluxe”), so not really sure why the commercial performance of something they barely promoted aside from TDD itself would be relevant, tbh.

I honestly think there’s a chance that it’s part of a last ditch Grammy campaign, but we’ll see!

I believe Total Mayhem is happening after the Grammys but not the stadium tour, I guess her family plans have switched and she's ready to welcome her first child (just a feeling though)

I mean we know she was in the studio a couple months ago, that she has a lot of material from the MAYHEM sessions that she could easily release as it it or just reworking slightly without taking months in the studio. She also talked about songs that she found interesting that weren't included on the album. She teased lyrics on official site from songs not included. AND Total MAYHEM was mentioned several times for months.

So yeah this is adding fuel to fire and the feeling it may happen is here. Not saying it will happen, even if it's in her mind she could change direction or just saying no last minute though.

I thought the carefully worded tweet re: the reissue hinted at a future Deluxe initially, but now I’m wondering if it might have been related to their contract with Target. The contract could’ve stipulated KFL couldn’t appear on a deluxe version of the album for X timeframe (among other requirements).

I tend to believe if a deluxe were coming, we’d have it already, considering most are released ~6 months after the original. I think it’d be weird to have done the “soft reissue” around that time and then drop another 3-5 songs in a more official capacity later. Also, while Gracie Abrams and Olivia Rodrigo released deluxe editions, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar didn't, so it seems like something Interscope does primarily to push younger artists’ albums.

Still holding out hope since I do see a case for something coming near the Grammys or 1 year anniversary.
