I'm so mad that this is the person the world decided to make so influential. That whole family have done so much irreparable damage to the human race

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Ask the billions of people around the world who believe in things they have zero evidence for and instead prefer to live in the collective delusion of religion, nationalism, racism, etc...

Unfortunately for them, I am correct :ororomunroe:

maybe not stupid, but definitely misguided. I know that a handful of conspiracy theories are actually true, but the moon-landing conspiracy is 100% false.

lol funny how since back then no successful moon landing has happened.

Gritting my teeth and ignoring the implication that you actually don't believe we've been to the moon (we have, it's a fact, you don't get to just deny reality).

It's actually interesting how influential the space race and the cold war was to us going to the moon in the first place. It dead ass was just a competition politically and NASA had all the funding and attention they needed to make sure the US basically owned the moon.

Since then, the political motivation dropped, along with the funding, so near-Earth infrastructure and sciences were prioritized.

However, both the US and China are planning moon missions in the next decade or so, especially with missions to Mars being planned as well.

Not only does the moon have ample resources we could use (like Helium-3 and water), properly established lunar infrastructure would also make extra planetary missions demonstrably cheaper and easier.

Just be sure you're actually watching the next time we land on our pretty little satellite so you can't deny it :ally:
