Songs Gaga didn't write on (or very minimally)

Yeah, the Sour Candy writer's demo is evidence that Gaga had very little input into the origination of that song. She certainly optimised and refined it, but the core idea and lyrics didn't come from her. Feels like one of only a few songs in her discography that match that definition.

Sine From Above was written by Axwell and Ryan Tedder for Elton John 6-7 years before Chromatica.

I don't think this is right. I believe they produced the instrumental but not the lyrics.

Given Chromatica's entire theming was based around the 'sine', I think that concept must've come from Gaga. If it didn't, that's very interesting and indicative of just how hands-off she was in the whole process. It would really be something if she themed her album around a lyric she didn't originate.

U said she only wrote the BP parts and yet the chorus (which Gaga sings on the album version) is in this demo :Cautious:

Exactly because gaga wrote it before this Madison Vodka whatever her name sang the demo so the girl from Blue Penis could know how to sing the song their wrote :Cautious:

I can’t believe I need to explain that in 2025

There could be more we do not know about, but I think the majority of them would be on Joanne and Chromatica as those are the albums that have the highest number of various songwriters credited…

…assuming there is no ghost writing involved anywhere

Considering how generous Gaga is with credits and has always been, I don't think there is any ghost writing in her projects, but I'm sure there's plenty of crediting when it probably shouldn't have happened :icant:

I’m curious about this one because I think it was Ryan who said the song wasn’t even called “Sine from Above”, it was just an Elton John demo sitting on his laptop, and it fits the Chromatica storyline so well, I always thought that she might’ve reused some melodies and the production but participated on the lyrics.

Yeah they said that this song drastically changed after Gaga took it

The only song Gaga jumped on is Come To Mama, the Father John Misty demo is quite exactly the same as the final Gaga version

Well, she didn’t name the album Chromatica herself, so it’s not too hard to imagine

Oh wait yes, that was Bloodpop's idea wasn't it? I had forgotten that. Damn. So Chromatica as a theme and concept wasn't even Gaga's. Sad.
