Happy for those who celebrate, but I’ll just never understand the point of a quasi-nostalgia act whose whole schtick is essentially recreating the feel and aesthetic of pop stars that were boring in their era (Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson etc).

The thing I loved about this song was Gaga’s cracked out tired voice still rendering pitch perfect and moving us with her ability to tell a story with her voice. She made the song something special. 
 

I don’t know who Adeline Ray is, an I wish her all the best in her endeavours, but I’ve heard better karaoke in Chicago.

I really love her but as a person who Gaga looks up to I wish she didn’t steal her song. Gaga is always backstabbed by her idols.

on a side note, this song is 1000% better with Addison. She has such a unique charm that transforms everything into expensive art.

Is it really stolen though? If she has a mechanical copyright license she can cover anything. It is strange however I think to cover an unreleased track, essentially taking it and releasing it without consent. So yeah, I guess in a way you're right, it is kind of like theft.

Gaga didn't even write it as far as we know lol. It was pitched to her during Born This Way sessions and then again during ARTPOP.
