Good, those recent record breaking after record breaking longevity hits didnt make any sense and it blocks way too many songs from growing

Charts don't have anything to do with growth. It's just a reflection of what people are listening to.

I would like to see a rule that requires a song to be released as an official single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, these album bombs must stop. They have their own chart, the streaming songs chart, they can dominate that.

Yeah I prefer the UK charts where there's a 3 or 4 song cap from an album.

The good news is it won't affect TDD :ororomunroe:

it helped TDD, it's at #57 instead of #67

It's harder for album tracks to get to the chart because they only have activity from streaming and no radio so they are the most consumed songs of the week.

Its still ridiculous cause all those tracks will free fall immediately but can still make other more successful songs go recurrent just because they flooded the chart one week. The UK charts only allow 3 entries I think per artist to avoid this

how are these removed songs more successful if they are not even in the top 50 on US Apple Music or Spotify?

I literally never heard about this artist or song

You probably heard it if you were in an H&M! Its catchy but was overplayed a lot of places

Ultimately, if the rules to break a record are constantly changing, then breaking that record means nothing.
Billboard can go the way of the dodo.

Hydrangea

This feels like such an odd rule at a random time and yet SOME people can just get away with constant blatant chart manipulation that goes unaddressed
