Ticketmaster to ban multiple accounts, shut down TradeDesk

Ticketmaster has announced a major policy change as the company plans to bar fans and brokers from operating multiple accounts on its platform.
Ticketmaster also plans to shut down its long-criticized TradeDesk ticket uploading application and start requiring ticket brokers to hand over their Social Security numbers in order to sell tickets on Ticketmaster’s resale platform.

Idek why it's an option to snatch up a $300 ticket and immediately sell it for $1,000+. Like, how is that not theft or fraud of some kind?

It goes beyond TM needing a tos change, that kind of thing should literally be illegal.

I agree wholeheartedly, but sadly reselling will always be a thing. Either through official channels or in free market spaces.

That said, there are definitely policies that TM can and should implement to combat scalped tickets.

Honestly, I'm fine with resale if it's capped at face value.

Just making it so tickets can't be resold above face value would kill the ticket tout industry in seconds.
