Not everybody has the money or free time to go to concerts. Make some music videos Gaga like old times!! Same. I feel its also part of the culprut making album eras spaced out more than they need to be
JoanneMonster 9,031
Maybe it’s you but im as hyped as ever because im seeing her in 2 days. Also, arent we getting numerous performances every week? it’s fun to see what surprise songs she releases and to see where she does the dead dance. she was also on wednesday last month, vmas, and she performed vanish into you on tv not long ago and gave an interview and filmed a movie while on tour… Im the first to complain when she doesnt promote (like chromatica era) but what else could she possibly do now? shes doing everything! and im sure there’s still more to come in the future I See You

I’m happy for her success and that she’s healthy, but regardless of that, this era is a disappointment. Since the Coachella performance, it’s been a low point. I never would’ve thought she’d take the Coachella performance to Rio and perform the exact same show 1:1 there as well. That alone was a huge disappointment - the “old” Gaga would’ve never done something like that. And the fact that the tour ended up being basically the same show - of course with some changes, but keeping the same foundation - only added to it. Moreover, during Coachella, Rio, and the promo tour performances, it was obvious that, in typical recent Gaga fashion, not enough time was dedicated to perfecting and preparing the show, it felt rushed. The final sections were weak compared to the opening and didn’t really fit into the story either. At least that part was fixed for the main tour. And why is this era still a low point? After Abracadabra, there wasn’t another single from the album, even though there were plenty of options to choose from. The Dead Dance, while catchy, is weak by Gaga’s standards - I’d compare it to Stupid Love. The video could’ve been filmed anywhere, even in a studio. There are no photoshoots; to this day, they’re still using the same pictures made for Abracadabra/the album/tour. Only one official remix has been released in total etc. I love the album, but it wasn’t nearly as satisfying as I expected it to be (though that’s just my personal taste). The Chromatica era left a lot to be desired, and I thought she would make up for it with this one - but personally, I don’t think she succeeded. Despite the very successful tour and album, this era feels boring to me. lets see: she released disease, the music video, the acoustic versions, the christmas car thing and christmas song, after this we had the most boring part of the era, but then: - grammy performance - abracadabra mv - LOTS of interviews - Little Monster press conference - Album release - SNL - Howard Stern Performances - abracadabra fan video - Lots of interaction from her - Coachella (even if you don’t like it, it’s her best show, critics and fans agree) - Mexico, Copacabana, Singapore (of course she was not gonna create a whole show from scratch in a week. I dont know what gaga from the past you remember, but she used to recycle everything. Her first 3 tours have literally the same lovegame performance). - the tudum zombieboy abracadabra performance - the tour (she could have made a different tour? yes. Is it her best tour yet? also yes) - playing numerous surprise songs every night and singing lots of fan favorites - releasing the dead dance and video - wednesday - performing and accepting awards at the vmas - filming a movie while on tour - stephen colbert interview - vanish into you performance I’m usually the first to complain when an era is boring or when we dont get enough content. like during the chromatica era. but now? we havent had an era like this in FOREVER. The only similar rollout we had was joanne era, and compare that coachella and that tour to this one. Sure we all would like more music videos but she is literally doing at least 3 shows a week, I’m sure we will get one in the future but this era is already more than we could have ever hoped. imagine you in 2021 knowing everything gaga would be doing now.
