Another low point already? This era deserved MORE

First of all, let me make it clear - she’s my favorite female artist and always will be. I’m happy for her success and that she’s healthy, but regardless of that, this era is a disappointment. Since the Coachella performance, it’s been a low point. I never would’ve thought she’d take the Coachella performance to Rio and perform the exact same show 1:1 there as well. That alone was a huge disappointment - the “old” Gaga would’ve never done something like that.

And the fact that the tour ended up being basically the same show - of course with some changes, but keeping the same foundation - only added to it. Moreover, during Coachella, Rio, and the promo tour performances, it was obvious that, in typical recent Gaga fashion, not enough time was dedicated to perfecting and preparing the show, it felt rushed. The final sections were weak compared to the opening and didn’t really fit into the story either. At least that part was fixed for the main tour.

And why is this era still a low point? After Abracadabra, there wasn’t another single from the album, even though there were plenty of options to choose from. The Dead Dance, while catchy, is weak by Gaga’s standards - I’d compare it to Stupid Love. The video could’ve been filmed anywhere, even in a studio. There are no photoshoots; to this day, they’re still using the same pictures made for Abracadabra/the album/tour. Only one official remix has been released in total etc.

I love the album, but it wasn’t nearly as satisfying as I expected it to be (though that’s just my personal taste). The Chromatica era left a lot to be desired, and I thought she would make up for it with this one - but personally, I don’t think she succeeded. Despite the very successful tour and album, this era feels boring to me.

The Gaga of old would have absolutely put on the same show. The show is the Gaga of old. But also the gap between Coachella & Rio was 2 weeks - literally no one, not even your mythological concept of Old Gaga would have had a brand new show in 2 weeks, with 2 shows in the middle of that 2 weeks lol

The tour was always going be the same show but revamped - that was telegraphed at every step of the process.
As for Gaga's "typical recent fashion" being not dedicating enough time to perfecting and preparing the show? Y'all ever heard of The Monster Ball 1.0? The show she decided to revamp entirely because it wasn't perfected. There's nothing recent about it - Gaga always perfects her shows once they go out, the JWT is the only tour she didn't make permanent alterations to the show's setlist/fashion etc.

As for the lack of singles after Abracadabra. Stop living in the past. Its 2025, post-album release singles are dead. It was never happening, we're lucky we got The Dead Dance through Wednesday promo or Abracadabra would be the last single of the era lol

i get it, some you want gaga to be exhausted to satisfy your consumerism or to be entertained every day

she's touring, what else you want?

what i can say? honestly, get a hobby, or do something to look forward in your own life instead of putting that weight in somebody else life

Why can't people be happy that she released an album, made a new bar for coachella performances, the free Brazil performance, a small scene in Wednesday, The MTV performance, more  new music with a album update that includes songs that were "exclusive" to certain physicals, an SNL performance AND Host, a few other performances on whatever shows and a tour that she's currently doing.

plus 3 (4) music videos along with videos like the alternative Disease styles or where she answered a bunch of questions and showed how she made Disease..

'AND *GASP FOR AIR*

Released the best song of her career (and video) Abracadabra.

This was on the level of what we heard about Chromatica before the pandemic... and people are still not happy?
