That’s era gold imo She literally got glowing reviews (if, albeit, from critics that I think were a bit uncharitable/uninformed about her previous work) from the NYT for crying out loud lmao. Tours are the biggest part of basically any era and I have no idea why fans completely check out once the tour starts. Maybe it’s the theatre nerd in me that used to love Broadway bootlegs, but I love following the show and seeing how it evolves over time so nothing about the era feels over to me at all. We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1

She’s a performer why don’t yall wanna see her perform???
BloodyVelvet 700
Honestly I still feel fed. MAYHEM is so good. I just wish we had at least one more single with a MV. The way I was picturing it was we were getting VIY (single + MV) in June-July and maybe GoE or Zombieboy late October, early November. So many good MV opportunities with this album. I mean it’s sooooo gooooooood Oh well, not criticizing anyway our girl is doing her absolute best and she’s thriving. ABRⱯCADⱯBRA
Ayesha Erotica 1,798
Imo, Taylor raised the bar so high that other artists fans started to demand more and more Gaga's activity is "normal" but since Taylor raised the bar and everything is relative, it started to feel "not enough" Your boyfriend comes over with a bit of gun oil Says he wants to step on new soil
TheFrenchGuy 331
i think the pressure for this era to deliver more, when it’s already the most we’ve gotten in years, comes from people really craving a serotonin boost. the world is a mess right now, so of course it’d be nice to have a new music video to distract us. but we also have to appreciate what we already have. just in the last few weeks we got three acoustic performances, a fascinating interview on the making of Abra, press around Devil Wears Prada, the TDD gag at the Mayhem Ball, and more. i get that none of that is the same as a music video, but calling this moment a “low point” really shows how much we’re looking to Gaga to carry us through.

Sometimes when I'm listening to Abracadabra it hits me that Lady Gaga released this in 2025 and completely re-peaked, its actually insane. The tour is getting crazy praise in every city she attends, and she is getting so much Grammy buzz. I think the campaigning will increase from here, that Abracadabra song podcast was amazing and such a smart idea. The one thing that I think could help with I think the perceived 'low point' of this era is if she had a better social team. This would barely even take any effort on her part. Chappell Roan posts amazing videos after every show that usually go viral. Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, Beyonce would usually make an insta post after every show with amazing pictures from said show. If we had something like that, or even cute little backstage "photoshoots" from different cities, I think it would help make the era feel more "alive" while on tour. It would be cool if there was an official MAYHEM Ball Instagram account, like Sweat tour, where they post fan outfits, different cute posters for each show and city, etc. That being said, tour is really the best promo and the cities feel the HYPE. Something that has such low effort but bigger returns would be posting Paparazzi/street pictures, she looked so sickening walking in and out of Colbert and really only fans saw it. This era is EVERYTHING, but I think this one small thing could really help! kinda surprised she doesn't do this, considering she used to do the mini photoshoots during the JWT, its not like her and her team aren't aware its a thing my guess is she either didn't want a photographer following her on every date or they couldn't organise it in time mother, what must i do?

She’s raised the bar for *content* but as far as substantive pieces of art she hasn’t really put those out in several eras. It’s all variants, deluxes, marketing. Even with the eras tour she’s made it a content mill post it being her finest tour to date. I think what Gaga has done this era is give very very intentionally. She’s done good interviews, gotten good press, great performances. It’s all been ultra deliberate and rich pieces of work she’s released (even TDD which I don’t like but was released+had a video and a performance and that was that; though now it’s a fun part of the tour with the rick roll of it all). I think the irritation people have is Taylor has encouraged an endless slow drip of small, mostly unfulfilling content nowadays whereas Mayhem has been about making and encouraging well rounded critical engagement with the album, it’s themes and Gaga’s artistic catalog. It’s very impressive. And Taylor used to do that to be clear! She found a new niche that obviously works for her and her fans
HotLikeMexico 5,341
I dunno some of y’all care too much about charts and what the GP thinks. BE HAPPY, we are literally in an amazing era that is STILL on going. There could be so much still to come! I was a sophomore in HS when just dance came out and have been a fan since. I’m just so happy I get to still experience seeing my queen live, and thriving during a new era. As a fan, I am just happy she still has star power and the theatricality that made me fall in love with her almost 20 years in. Noctelus 2,924
She's literally on a critically acclaimed worldwide tour, not to mention we only just got The Dead Dance. We're being fed everything we could ever want and you're sat here tapping your fingers saying "more!". It's honestly disrespectful and entitled. 2

princedeeblebleble 2,088
You guys should really get a hobby or follow a few more artists Like yea I shat on her a lot for how badly she handled the times between 2020 and the start of the Mayhem era cause she'd constantly just disappear(kinda understandably considering her bad mental health at the time, but like she gave a lot this year, more than she gave since the release of Joanne.
