Almost a year after Trump got reelected, imo this race proves where Americans are currently at politically.  In many ways it comes as Trump vs Kamala 2.0 this race

 

Jack Ciattarelli: Main criticisms are he was a moderate Republican who's now become swallowed in the MAGA movement and doesn't do much at all to distance himself from Trump.  He's also not LGBTQ friendly.

 

Mikie Sherrill: Main criticisms are she offers no relief to high property taxes, increased standard of living, and New Jersey being one of the least business friendly states in the country.  Also, lack of interpersonal skills with people.  

 

Mikie is slightly ahead on all the polls but so was Kamala.

 

 

I say if Jack wins this race, the Democrats really need to change their strategies before next midterm election to hopefully gain some power back.  Hire, Bernie as a consultant per se for one thing.  Because if Jack wins that shows there's still a really bad disconnect Dems have with the working class.

 

 

 

New Jersey has always been blue but Governor Murphy there has very poor approval ratings similar to Trump

I mean, people get what they vote for. If the people of NJ are stupid enough to pick a MAGA man over a Dem woman then, just like the nation itself, they deserve whatever they pick.
