Joanne vs. Mayhem (album cover)

Mayhem by far. I’ve gotten used to looking at it while listening to all songs and has so much power. Makes me want to listen to it just looking at the album cover.

I think in relation to the themes of the album. Mayhem is the clear winner. 

Joanne's cover is good photography but the concept is essentially "its an americana album so I put a cowboy hat on"

i honestly prefer Joanne but pink is my favorite color so it’s just really pleasing to me but both are great

Both covers are pure Gaga and art- but MAYHEM just feels the most like Gaga/Stefani in one and the details of the effects in the photo bring the idea of the album together in one photo. In the Joanne cover, I see Stefani just starting to separate herself from Gaga (As I think she was initially doing in her career at the time of the release), and in the MAYHEM cover, I see Stefani solely. Almost as if the Joanne cover is Gaga embodying Stefani, and the MAYHEM cover is Stefani embodying Gaga.

Both album covers are really beautiful representations of the duality she carries and how artistic she can still be while also remaining somewhat simplistic in the imagery.

Not a fan of either but in this case I prefer Joanne.

I understand the concept behind the Mayhem cover, it just doesn't speak to me at all. It's too obvious and simple for me I guess.

I'm more of a maximalist. My favourite Gaga cover is Harlequin. That and the Fame Monster.

I have to go with Mayhem. It looks so good framed on my wall along with her signature. And the cracked glass makes it look even cooler in that setting

I voted mayhem, mostly because mayhem's web store deluxe cover just absolutely eats boots down more than most of her album covers

but strictly these 2 images: i prefer joanne

Both are really good

While I prefer the MAYHEM image, I think the Joanne cover is her most iconic after The Fame Monster, it’s just instantly recognizable.

The only thing that kinda bothers me about the Joanne cover is silly, (don’t kill me) but I personally think her nose doesn’t really look like hers, which isn’t the best option for such a raw image. But the simple graphic with the pose and the pink hat is simply iconic. 

So I pick Joanne. But I love MAYHEM’s cover too.
