Have you listened to Brat? the amazing, diverse and overall well crafted album that was omnipresent in the most random but amazing ways? 

Showgilr is an ok album, listenable but I can't say it has as much replayability or the cool factor as Brat.

Albums just very boring Barbie and vanilla, and the lyrics are definitely among her worst. I understand this was meant to be catchy hooks and simple lyrics etc. but when you hear some of the stuff it's like she's not even trying. And the lyrics just feel so stale and just revolve same five or so topics i.e. save me from my woes, I am so in love, it's so hard being famous, don't mess with me, men with power suck etc.

I am also very surprised at how basic the production is, especially coming from Max Martin and Shellback. Like there is little to no depth or layering. And the visuals and marketing do not match the album.

Taylor has such a good track record and is capable of producing some truly outstanding music, but I do think she needs to stop rush jobbing these records and take some time out to live life, and come back with some new energy and lyrical content.
