And I sincerely hope the people of Palestine can be free from both Israel and Hamas I’ll be honest: I think Israel has done genuinely irreparable harm to their global reputation for generations to come (earned). I don’t see them fixing that especially under this Trump plan that’ll basically be old style colonialism under Tony Blair of all people and building wretched resorts. If they cared that much about PR coming out of this, this is about the single worst outcome for them as a state. They look barbaric in a Queen Victoria, King Leopold kind of way and while, yes, people’s attention spans move on…two years of sustained evils has basically reduced the state as a shorthand for cruelty and—ironically—savagery. This plus a Democratic Party that’s becoming all but absorbed by its left bc it’s in touch and popular…a left that widely condemns Israel? Yeah they’re a pariah after this and Zionists have done their cause incredible harm. All deserved. All theirs to own. I worry a lot for the Palestinians coming out of this, though. Bad PR for their aggressors going forward doesn’t secure them safety, security, and a right to a thriving livelihood
PartySick 172,972
Nothing will change. Hamas' leadership could personally surrender themselves to a position kissing Netanyahu's feet 24/7 and Israel would still find justification for the genocide of the Palestinian people. It was never about the hostages. Whimsical bitch

I support them becuase they're victims of a genocide... but the when they're free, and if they keep up the values of their theocratic state ... That'll be hard to fully support Edited October 7, 2025 by Taumaturg0

Yeah because Israel indiscriminately killed or detained Palestinians with impunity long before 10/7. And what about the West Bank? Are we just going to pretend Israelis don’t have a policy of illegally settling there? A complete guarantee of Palestinian sovereignty needs to be established or Israel will just go back to that same cycle of violating Palestinian human rights under the radar and bide their time until the next time they can manufacture consent. They absolutely believe they own them. Edited October 9, 2025 by Emvee
