I love that she's so honest again here about her songwriting and recording process. Talking about manipulation, dressing her songs, and cherry picking collaborators in more detail.

I hope she'll one day do like a 2hr interview that focuses on these and compare how she does it for her different albums. Maybe with Questlove or somebody that knows tons abt production and the music business.

This Abra version really shows what an incredible song it is. Even if all the bells and whistles are stripped away.

Oh, instead of clamoring for ARTPOP Act II, can we start campaigning for an album of her hits performed acoustically? Like an MTV Unplugged type thing? She would break records.

Lovely interview! The most interesting thing that stuck out to me was hearing her talk about having such a tight-knit group for the album's creation. It felt like a stark contrast from her process during Chromatica, where she discussed sending songs to numerous artists and producers. 

I find that creative process and the end results so interesting because MAYHEM is soncially all over the place, but it was only worked on by a few people. In contrast, Chromatica is much more cohesive, but it was worked on by many more people.

Honestly I’m hoping/delulu predicting this may happen especially if there’s a pro recording of this tour. The way the camera work has been done for this tour I really suspect a movie and a separate fan video for VIY

I wouldn‘t say it‘s "all over the place", every song‘s production sounds a bit different but together they complement each other amazingly!! It‘s a very unique album with its own vibe. I love Chromatica and enjoy its production but it‘s just her worst produced album for me (still my number 1 album of 2020 and maybe even 2019 and 2021). And I love Fun Tonight, 1000 Doves and Free Woman but it didn‘t bring anything new. I don‘t wanna throw shade at it - I love the 90s dance vibe it has but you can see she was talking about Chroma when said she didn‘t feel confident artistically at some point in her life. Mayhem is a masterpiece, I‘ve had it on repeat since the release and I AM STILL NOT TIRED OF IT. Like most times I listen to one album for a month or two and then I start to get tired of it and need to take a break but it hasn‘t happened with Mayhem yet. I love it so ****ing much
