Lovely interview, it's so good to see her this happy and content

Interesting to hear her talk about relationship between Stefani and Gaga. I always seen it kinda like Lady Gaga is to Stefani what Batman is to Bruce Wayne. I wonder what she would think about that comparison :brat:

I mean this completely seriously and not even as a joke: I think right before this interview they were talking about her lipstick shade and she said to him "I think you should put some on.. yeah it looks great! It suits you."

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I won't lie, I was getting a bit nervous for her when Colbert kept going deeper with the darker STEFANI/GAGA questions.

This was a very interesting interview. I really think this era for her is becoming the artist she wants to be and finally accept, mourn for, and move on from the troubled girl she was. I feel like ARTPOP was mourning her artistic freedom before fame, Joanne was mourning her humanity before fame, and Chromatica was a direct biproduct of facing her past trauma in the face. Mayhem to me is now the healed version of Stefani finding a new connection and love for Gaga, divorced from the intense sadness and trauma that came with it.

She seemed so grounded and in touch with her emotions in this interview. I'm very proud of the work she has done on herself and I'm happy that it seems she is just enjoying being an artist/musician.

I always tear up when she talks about Michael and how happy she feels :diane:

no need to be sorry! a broadcast can be pre-recorded

they just mean it was filmed in the actual Bitter End rather than his usual set

i know this might be a stupid question, but why wasn't this shown on the same day of the performance?

This probably her best interview in a while! Also never occurred to me how The Fame and Mayhem album covers are similar, really fits what she said about Mayhem is circling back to all the music she loved. Its funny bc when the album came out, i always thought it reminded me more of the Fame than the TFM.
