Loving this moment so much! She brings so much joy and love to this world! You may not like her but at least she’s being a good guide to children all around the world. A whole generation of girls are growing up with her and learning to love and respect each other. I’m really glad she’s using her power and position to promote this message !

This album, Midnights and 1989 are meant to be glittery gel pen lyrics which in her mind means none of the lyrics are meant to be taken seriously or are made with such deep meaning 

I mean they may be gitter gel pen songs, but they don't hold up to her glitter gel pen discography. The production holds back most of the good ones like Ophelia/Opalite. 

I think the biggest issue is she's gone for her first full pop album in half a decade but she's tried to make her pop brand fit into current mainstream pop rather than the more maximalist club ready pop of Red/1989/Rep. And the current bedroom pop sound realistically only works with her maturer songs.

She has several “good” songs and a few “great” songs but nothing about her has ever been groundbreaking enough for me to warrant her being recognized as one of the greatest songwriters of all time. 
 

i loved her fearless album as a kid, but looking back on it as an adult, without nostalgia i don't really think id enjoy those songs near as much if they were released today.
