Y’all saying this album is poorly written when Dead Dance sounds completely AI written but y’all eat it up.

Is that Taylor’s best written album? No but is it weak? Also no. Lyrically I think she over did it with TTPD and this is a more simple and fun experience. It’s clear she made it while touring because of the lyrics. She performing her butt off every night, flying everywhere and making this music? The girl was tired. If this isn’t your kinda album that’s fine but i love it, every song is pretty catchy, it’s just the right length and it doesn’t over stay its welcome.

If she was tired, she shouldn't make an album because of the need to be the center of attention all the time. Because it's not weak, it's Bikini Bottom.

Anyone who recognizes my username will know that I’m a huge Taylor fan. This release was one of my biggest anticipations of the year. 

To say I’m disappointed is a tremendous understatement. I don’t even want to call it my least favorite album she’s put out because that language implies I hold it in any kind of favorable regard to her previous albums. It’s terrible. 

I cannot in any faith just disregard the terrible lyricism in this album. It’s no unknown fact that Taylor has a tendency to sometimes write some pretty cringe lyrics, but those are usually isolated to a couple songs in an album, or a few cringe worthy lyrics in a singular song. This album however, is completely littered with that kind of lyricism.

We are talking about someone who is widely regarded as the most accolade and revered songwriter and Pop music today. We cannot simply ignore the fact that so much of this music is being carried by the production. And the promotion for this album, she expressed the desire for retaining the lyricism that she used in folklore. There are a couple of songs that I can say resonate to that notion of not sacrificing her lyrical, prowess and favor of fun music. 

I don’t care that a song is supposed to be tongue in cheek, or is just supposed to be fun, or is not supposed to be taken seriously. She has those kinds of songs and other projects without such a tremendous sacrifice to what makes her her.

I want to also disclaim the fact that I absolutely adore the tortured poets department. In fact, after my initial lesson of this album, the first thing I did was re-listened to the Tortured Poets Department because I had to cleanse my ears from an album littered with lyrical sins. 

Some probably already know that since I recall getting into quite a few arguments with some people here in the past when that was released. I can totally sympathize and understand the people who like this album and who take ill with people who are discrediting it or who don’t understand how someone can not like it. I felt the same way with Tortured Poets. 

I would have never predicted that in the year 2025, Lady Gaga would’ve release a better Taylor Swift song than Taylor Swift.

I hope Taylor takes a few years away to live life and come back with something she has to say that is worth saying.

I love how we have a thread for every Taylor countdown and thus have a new thread every now and then because she can’t stop putting countdowns to release new variants.

It’s understandable though, although it’s a Gaga website it’s a nonevent year for her. It’s not like she released an album or going on a tour to keep us talking.

This is a gaga forum with NON-Gaga subforums. 
As of writing this post - 7 of the Now trending threads are about Gaga. 3 are about Taylor. There's 16 in total. 

People are talking about Gaga. In the Gaga threads. In the Gaga sections of Gagadaily. If that's what you want to talk about - go to those threads. 
If you don't want to talk about other artists, in non-gaga threads, in the non-gaga sections of gagadaily. Don't go to the non-gaga threads, in the non-gaga sections. 

Like, maybe its just because I'm fast approaching 30 and am part of the generation first raised on the internet. Maybe its because I work in IT. But like what happened to people's ability to navigate internet forums? I always thought it was simple.
Feels like we're inundated with lost little monsters in multiple threads on this site that don't know how to escape non-Gaga threads. I worry for them, I hope the moderators are able to guide our lost flock to greener pastures.
